This is Jane and Eileen. After 40 years together, these two wonderful souls officially tied the knot back in July, 2019. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, this day goes down as one of our favorites of the decade!

These women were pioneers in the women’s rights movement, and paved the way for ALL people to marry whom they love. They first met in 1976, and bonded over golf, classical music, opera and political activism. They were students and teachers at prominent universities, and were together, and supported each other, through the many ups and downs on their journey together.

Jane was a photojournalist and writer for progressive, independent publications, while Eileen pursued her law degree and became a union lawyer. Their story has many highlights, adventures, and some very hard days too, including the day when Eileen learned her baby sister was killed in a car crash. It was Jane, who was by her side through those dark days. And the days that would follow - and all of the moments in between.

When they spoke their vows to one another, their words were filled with such conviction and real, genuine love for each other. They are the kind of words that you remember, long after they are said. We remember them still, and are grateful we got to hear them spoken.

Both Jane and Eileen are true inspirations; they have given us something to strive for, admire and truly say “thank you”. We are beyond humbled to have documented this beautiful and amazing day.
