I have been wanting to do a photo shoot at WIND + JAMES for quite some time now … and if you’re not familiar with it, you must check it out! It is such a cool lil’ venue, in Schoolcraft, MI; just a little over an hour from South Bend ... and it has the most colorful, creative spaces … even the bathrooms!

One of my nearest and dearest friends and I decided to make the trip and rent out the space and have some fun together, with our kiddos, along with one of her sweet students, her brother and sweet momma. And I just have to brag a little on my friend Kelly … she is a special education teacher at a local school here in town, and her students and their families become a part of her family. She has such a big heart and she takes such precious care of the kids in her classroom. They hold a special place in her heart and she sure is a gift to everyone who knows her … and we’ve been friends since middle school!

Such a fun afternoon, making memories and laughing … a lot! And my kid and I even got in front of the lens for a few photos too! Always grateful for moments that become memories and soooo thankful for friends.
