Laura & Brian were wed at Loft on Lake, a Chicago wedding venue with an industrial, yet lofty and chic vibe!

This outgoing, adventurous and fun loving couple had a beautiful wedding day full of details that we adore. Laura and Brian opted for an intimate sized bridal party with a maid of honor and a best man standing by their side for the day! The bride and groom also had a sweet and intimate first look with the biggest smiles you’ve ever seen, before meeting down the aisle. When we asked them what detail of their wedding day they were looking forward to the most, they confided in us it was their first dance as newlyweds! We also took to the rooftop of their Chicago wedding venue at Loft on Lake to grab some wedding day portraits with crazy good skyline views of the city, and those precious just married moments where nobody else in the world existed except for Laura & Brian.

Laura & Brian’s meet-cute happened when the couple was introduced by mutual friends at a local charity event. Their introduction was so early on in the afternoon of the event that they ended up spending the rest of the day in each other’s company! How sweet is that?!

The couple also spilled all the details of their proposal story with us! Laura and Brian’s proposal story happened during a fall backpacking trip through Pictured Rocks in Upper Peninsula Michigan. Once Laura and Brian had arrived at their destination and finished setting up camp for the night, they walked down to the shore to watch the sunset over Lake Superior. After the sun had fully set far over the distant horizon, Brian got down on one knee and popped the question.

In addition to enjoying outdoorsy adventures, Laura & Brian love spending quiet time alone together at home and taking their dog for long walks. On their wedding day, we made a quick stop to pick up their pup, so that we could follow them around the streets of Chicago for some wedding day photos as a family of 3!
